Qiqihar Medical University

Qiqihar Medical University (QMU), located in the hometown of world-famous red-crowned cranes, is a regular university of Heilongjiang Province. Founded in 1946, the University has a history of more than 66 years and a total area of 1,100,000 square meters.

Qiqihar Medical University consists of 14 schools and 4 auxiliary departments. Currently, the university boasts a staff of 4281, including 938 professors and associate professors. And more than 73.9% teachers with Master’s and Doctoral Degrees The number of enrollment is 16,501. The undergraduate education program offers 27 majors and disciplinary orientations; the specialties above cover the full spectrum of medicine as well as 4 other disciplines: science, engineering and managing. Among all the majors, Psychiatry Medicine is the national first-class characteristic major and Clinical medicine, Psychiatry Medicine, Pharmacy and preventive medicine are provincial key-constructing majors. 

The University has 9 affiliated hospitals, 31 teaching and training hospitals and 18 research institutes, in which there are Provincial Key Constructing Laband Post-doctoral Research Workstation.

3 Journals are sponsored by the University— Journal of Qiqihar Medical University, Chinese Modern Nursing, and Nervous Diseases and Mental Hygiene, which are issued domestically and abroad. Chinese Modern Nursing as well as Nervous Diseases and Mental Hygiene are the national publications.
